The easy answer is that we are eager to provide counsel to anyone! We are anxious to walk alongside those in who are dealing with struggling relationships, addictions, depression, fear, guilt, worry, anxiety, parenting issues, anger, grief, abuse, career problems, Spiritual issues, and more. Our counselees range from those who have experienced deep, long-lasting issues, to those who just need some advice. Chances are, if you are considering counseling, it is time to schedule an appointment.
What type of counsel do you offer?
Oasis Counsel offers Biblical Counseling. In short, we believe that God’s Word contains the answers to all of life’s problems, and use it as the primary source for counsel. By definition, Biblical counseling consists of encouraging, confronting, teaching, and training people with God’s Word to live a life that pleases and glorifies God.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment is easy. Just give us a call at (239)398-2073 to schedule your first session.
What should I bring with me to my first session?
Please bring your Bible as this is where we will spend most of our time. Additionally, you can save some time by answering the question on our PDI prior to your first session. You can download the PDI, by clicking here.
What should I expect as a counselee?
1. Confidentiality–Oasis Counsel will provide confidential counsel to all counselees. What is said in session will be held in strict confidence, except when the counselor recognizes there are lawful or Biblical reasons to include others.
2. Care and Compassion–Our Counselors will support and respect all counselees who come for help and hope.
3. Cheer–Oasis Counsel will encourage counselees by coming alongside and giving clear Biblical instruction.
What does Oasis expect from counselees?
Commitment–Counselees must be willing to work on the issues and problems. This includes being open and honest, bringing a Bible, working on homework, and recognizing the reality that change takes time. Sometimes it only takes a few sessions, but usually Biblical Counseling last from ten to twenty five sessions. The duration of sessions depends on the motivation of counselees and the severity of issues.

What is TAG?
TAG stands for “Transformation Addictions Group.” This is a ministry that gives help to those who struggle with drug or alcohol addictions. They look at addictions from a biblical stand point, and recognize that God’s Word is the Christian’s authority! The mission of TAG is to lead others to God through the addiction community based on God’s Word. Go to ministries page for further information.
What is One to One Discipleship?
Ministry of Oasis that leads people into a deeper knowledge of the truth (God’s Word), and ultimately maturity in faith. Topics that are discussed include how to pray, how to read the Bible, how to live the Spirit filled life etc. For further information go to ministries page.
