MISSION STATEMENT

Oasis exists to glorify God by ministering to individuals, marriages, and families with counsel based on God’s Word. We strive to embody the love of Christ for all who come to Oasis for help, hope, and a refreshed life.

Refresh your hope

Our purpose is to help counselees gain a new found hope for the future by putting trust in God, through His Word. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you truth in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”-Romans 15:13, NIV

Refresh your heart

Our vision is to inspire counselees through the wisdom of God’s Word to embrace true heart change. When God touches the heart by the power of the Holy Spirit everything becomes new and fresh.  “And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.”-Ezekiel 11:19-20, NLT

Refresh your life

Our goal for counselees is to expereince real change in every aspect of their lives as they learn how to please and honor God. This will transform the way one thinks about God, self, and others. Transformation will not only change thoughts, but also behaviors and actions. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”-2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV

Refresh others

Our desire is that everyone will share the biblical truths with others, as they have experienced the depths of God grace and truth themselves. Transformation is contagious because people get excited about how God has worked in their lives. The goal is for everyone to come to a place in their walk with the Lord where they begin to minister to others.

Individual

Discipleship

At Oasis Counsel, our desire is to walk alongside you as you pursue a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.  The good news is that God did not create us to live the Christian lif alone.  In fact, He gave us a perfect example of Spiritual growth demonstrated in the close relationships Jesus had with His disciples.  We have established a discipleship ministry that is designed to help you live your life in a way that is pleasing to God.  Whether you are walking through a difficult time in your life, or just want to know more about following Christ, there is a place for you in discipleship at Oasis!

Benevolence

The Congregtions on Marco have pulled together to help people at one place: Oasis; where everyone from Marco Island is welcome. 

We believe in a systematic approach in helpling people in financial crisis. Our plan at Oasis is to offer help by intiating an interview to determine those who meet criteria in order to ensure we help those who really need it. The recipients will also complete a four page application for the counselors to be able to evaluate the recipients financial situation. After the intial iterview with a counselor, there maybe further counsel.

PHASE ONE: Interview Process

The first step is to take people through the application and have a 30 minute interview with a counselor to analyze the situation. If the counselor believes the person is truly needing assistance then Oasis will use the funds allotted by the congregations on Marco to help by paying a bill or give a gift card.

PHASE TWO: Game Plan

The second meeting with a counselor will help the person develop a game plan with finances and personal issues if needed. The counselor can begin to assess personal issues that could be the cause of the circumstances. Oasis can help people develop a budget and make a plan of action for moving forward to provide hope during a time of crisis.

PHASE THREE: Job Search

At this point, someone may need help in choosing another career to provide for their family. The counselor can help discover their talents and abilities and aid in the job search process. For some this may be researching other industries to consider for the future.

ADDICTION–Transformation Addiction Group (TAG)

OUR MISSION

To lead others to God through the addiction community based on God’s Word.

OUR VISION

To give hope, help and freedom through Christ to those who struggle with addictions.

1. Find Real hope

  • Discussing God and His Word to one another during the meetings
  • Testimonies-reveal a living and breathing relationship with God
  • Experience the support from one another

2. Find Real help

  • Hearing others speak the truth in love
  • Seeing other walk in new ways. Change can be reality
  • Mentorship-follow someone and find support

3. Find Real freedom

  • Justified in Christ
  • Sanctification-continue to grow and mature in Christ
  • Walk with others in the addiction community
  • Pass on God’s grace by mentoring others

Are you ready to take a journey? This is not going to be a brisk walk in the woods, nor will it be an enjoyable sighting tour. This journey will not be for the faint at heart because the road is long, steep, rough, dusty, and straight. It will take energy, perseverance, determination, wisdom, love, and patience. Don’t worry, you will not walk alone on this journey because support will come from others and ultimately God Himself! God wants you to make it on this journey because He will be your support and strength.

This journey is not a program, nor is it another support group, but a new way of living. A change of life that happens through a transformation of the heart! What we offer to you is REAL LIFE that has been given graciously to us through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He is the embodiment of hope for the human race because He conquered sin, death, and even Satan himself! Jesus the cure to all bondage that we in the addiction community.

We want to help you break free from addictions of drug and alcohol, but it starts a heart transplant! This type of surgery is not done by human hands, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. God alone has the ability and power to change addictions of the heart into peace and joy. God had been changing addictive behavior for centuries for His glory, setting many captives free.

Financial

We are excited about the this new ministry as many need wisdom and guidance how to handle their finances to please God. The economy has continued to spiral out of control and people are asking for help, and God has laid it on the heart of one of our deacons to get certified with Crown Ministries. Classes are available, and individual financial counseling opportunities are limited. Please take advantage of this ministry and find out theologically and practically how God wants you to handle your finances.

Finances are an important part of living the Christian life. Oasis Counsel exists to help people glorify God in all areas of life including finances. We want God’s people to be good stewards of God’s blessings. If you are interested or have questions call us or email us.
